Petra Energy Nigeria Limited was registered, RC302065, in the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 24th October 1996. The Company was established primarily to bridge the knowledge gap between the International Oil Companies IOCs. interested foreign entities, the Governments at various levels, indigenous companies and individual persons in Nigeria. The Company’s core business is the provision of petroleum consultancy services and linking foreign entities with indigenous Nigerian companies and government agencies in the oil and gas sector. The founders of the Company are Nnaemeka Nwawka, an Engineer. Francesca Nwawka, a Legal Practitioner, and Nnamdi Nwawka, an Environmental Scientist and Businessman. Combining Business, The Law, The Environment, in short! After graduating from Cambridge University, United Kingdom, Nnaemeka worked for Shell from 1973 to 2003. He held several key positions in the oil and gas industry, both in Nigeria and internationally, in Operations, Production Technology, Reservoir Engineering, Gas, Project Economics and General Management. Nwawka served as Economics Manager of Shell UK Exploration and Production Company in London. In Nigeria and held several top management positions in Shell Petroleum Development Company SPDC, Nigeria, including Petroleum Engineering Manager (1994 to 1996), Technical Manager (1997 to 1998) and Deputy General Manager (1998 to 2003). Francesca was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986 and has served for many years as adviser and legal counsel for oil communities in the Niger Delta. Nnamdi Nwawka graduated in Environmental Sciences from North Eastern University, Boston MA, USA, and has working experience in the United States of America in General Electric Company, Pratt and Whitney and Raytheon Technologies
